Welcome to Daniel Island
The Land
This unique archipelago of islands on the northernmost edge of Daniel Island Park was reserved for decades by Daniel Island’s owners. Long treasured as their own family “retreat,” generations of family members gained an appreciation for this stunning piece of land, its endless vistas, and the recreational sport of its waters.
Bounded by Beresford and Ralston Creeks, The Retreat features expansive views of golden green marsh and tranquil waterways teeming with fish and marine life. Multiple varieties of herons, egrets, cranes, and ibis are among the wildlife supported by this coastal habitat.
The lifestyle
COASTAL LIVING
Whether netting a fresh dinner of shrimp or crab from your own dock, gathering with friends to watch the sunset, or simply enjoying the tranquil views in quiet solitude, The Retreat offers an extraordinary coastal lifestyle.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
“The Fish Camp” has been designed as a collection of amenities that are for the exclusive use of residents at The Retreat. A dock and boat launch provides convenient access to Beresford Creek and the surrounding waterways, and a pavilion, nestled in the trees on the water’s edge, provides a gathering space for friends and neighbors.

The Location
The Retreat enjoys an exclusive location within Daniel Island Park, the golf and country club community located on the north half of Daniel Island. Daniel Island itself is an award-winning community that integrates hundreds of acres of parks and trails with diverse neighborhoods, schools, churches, shops, restaurants, medical offices, entertainment venues, and more, all within convenient proximity to residents at The Retreat.
Daniel Island is also within the City of Charleston, and the cultural attractions of historic downtown Charleston are just 20 miles away. Also within 20 miles: Atlantic beaches, world-class shopping and dining, top-rated hospitals, and the Charleston International Airport.
The Homesites
In total, The Retreat will comprise 62 generously sized homesites, many offering expansive marsh and water views. The final homesites will be offered for sale in the Fall of 2024.
Homes here will be graceful additions to the stunning natural environment and design will be classical in nature, drawing from the Lowcountry's rich architectural precedent. Design Guidelines have been established for this neighborhood to ensure homes are complementary to one another and to their surroundings.
